The AVA Board of Directors unanimously agreed, March 17, 2020, to immediately suspend all AVA Traditional events through April 30th, 2020 and recommends all club related events to include group walks, meetings, social gatherings, etc. be postponed through April 30th, 2020 as well. The Board of Directors will be monitoring this situation closely and updates will be given regularly as the situation develops. As of, March 18th, the Sacramento Walking Sticks will officially be following the guidelines of AVA, our parent organization. Individually, we all can help break the infection chain by some simple steps.

Since the Coronavirus has been deemed a pandemic by the World Health Organization, and a National Emergency in the United States, the CVA Convention that was scheduled for May 1, 2, & 3, 2020, at Mt. Shasta City has been postponed. The CVA State Executive Council, CVA President, Betsy McDevitt and Cynthia Turbin, Shasta Sundial Strollers (SSS) President, hope to reschedule the 2020 CVA Convention to possibly August 28, 29 & 30, or October 2, 3 & 4.
Check the CVA website for further details and future updates.
